IK Multimedia T-RACKS PRECISION COMP/LI
A legend that became a plug-in
The Precision Comp Limiter is based on one of the legendary British compressors found in high-end studios around the world. Originally produced in the 1970s as an evolution of the previous 2254 model, it quickly became a sought-after unit for many audio applications, including music recording/mixing, mastering, post-production, and broadcast. Its sonic character is not as aggressive as that of many other popular units from the same era. Even when the unit is pushed to extreme settings, compression is quite smooth and maintains a musical quality that does not "choke" or squeeze program material. However, the compression effect is clearly distinguishable.
