FG-49
Modeled after one of the most famous German tube microphones, the FG-49 features rich, dominant mid-highs with an open, smooth treble edge. It's fantastic for vocals on the right singers, but it's really special as a room mic for drums, picking up pianos, woodwinds or kick drums.
FG-67 MKII
The 67 in the VMS collection has a modified low pass filter that makes it brighter than the typical 67, so Slate decided to add a traditional 67 to the Classic Tubes 3. This traditional 67 is darker in the highs and has beautiful bass. It's great on vocals, drum rooms, pianos, horns, and just about any sound source that takes advantage of a vintage tone.
FG-37A
A recreation of a famous Japanese tube microphone. This mic is one of the most impressive sounding microphones in the entire collection. The mids are sculpted in a way that makes any vocal pleasant. It also sounds great on acoustic instruments, drum overs, and piano.
FG-44
This is the first VMS model of a classic ribbon microphone, but with cardioid pickup. But since this is the Classic Tubes 3 Pack, Slate added a custom tube stage to give the model tube harmonics and a bit of saturation. This mic is perfect for anything that requires a super smooth vintage vibe.
FG-47 MKII
This is the second model of a super famous German tube microphone. It is similar to the 47 in the VMS factory package, but with slightly softer mids and highs, added to a thicker mid-bass. This mic will be perfect for vintage vocal sounds, it will always sound great!

FG-47
The FG-47 recreates the sound of one of the most famous vintage tube microphones in audio history. It has a thick and full-bodied low end, a rich and present midrange and a smooth top end. This mic sounds great on thick vocals, but it also sounds amazing as a kick drum mic, room mic, guitar mic, and horns and strings.
FG-M7
The FG-M7 takes one of the most famous dynamic vocal microphones used in the studio by artists like Michael Jackson and adds the tube stage of the classic 47, making it extremely punchy and crisp, with incredible mids that cut through the mix. It will definitely be a favorite!
FG-800
The FG-800 recreates the sound of one of the most popular modern tube microphones, known for being the preferred choice of pop and hip hop vocalists. It is extremely bright and airy, but with a warm undertone. Using this microphone on vocals will provide an instant polished sound. However, this mic also sounds good on overheads and acoustic guitar.
FG-251
The FG-251 recreates the sound of one of the industry's most sought-after vintage tube microphones. It's one of the most sought-after vocal microphones on the planet, known for being crisp, warm, and flattering on a variety of voices. The FG-251 also sounds great on drums, guitars, acoustics, and just about anything else you put it on!
FG-800M
The FG-800M emulates an older Japanese tube microphone and is slightly fatter and darker than the standard FG-800. If you love the FG-800 but wish it was a little less hissy and bright, you'll love it.
FG-269
The FG-269 emulates an extremely rare German classic that shares much of the same circuitry as the 67, but with a different tube that makes it more open and clear. This is one of the best sounding vocal microphones we've ever heard.
FG-12
The FG-12 emulates an Austrian classic known for being incredibly smooth and rich sounding. We chose an absolutely incredible version of this microphone to model with – it's the perfect representation of this famous tone.
FG-67
The FG-67 emulates a vintage German classic known for being a little dark, bold and thick. This mic is amazing on vocals, rooms, horns, and piano, and is one of Steven's favorites on tones.
